right now isn't so good

i have a very bad sore throat and a cough's developing. they'll probably torture us and bring us for a 6km run again tomorrow.

i'm very saddened by what has been happening in my friend's life. though i fully understand that trials will make him a stronger man, i can't exactly say that i'll stand and applaud as all these tests come to him one after another. it's a bittersweet(more bitter than sweet right now) faith that we all have to hold on to, that God is sovereign and His love never fails.

and i just finished another of those guitar lessons with gaius, which are somewhat painful and very humbling indeed, having to re-carve all these basics in to me. it's another reminder that i set off the wrong way when learning the guitar, and there'll be a lot of work to do before i can say that i'm playing pretty ok.

so maybe right now isn't such a great time.

but then again, right now is just a transitory period between before and later. right now'd have passed even if you have held your breath and tried to freeze time. a right step would make right now a stepping stone into a great later.

later wouldn't come if right now didn't come and pass. so maybe right now isn't so good, but it is already passing. take the right step, see you later.

asean football championship

singapore's (multi)national team has lifted the ASEAN Footbal Championship

with more than their fair share of luck i must say.

kudos to the very lucky cast of multinational super(mini)stars.

hurrah to my patriotism, or not so apparent lack of it.

so much for a loyal soldier.

i'm a national disgrace. or a disgraced national.
