my CDs
On my home-desk, i have 3 CD racks. Each rack holds 20 CDs and they are stacked on top of each other. So my CD racks are full, and I have a pile lying next to my CD rack, because they are either too big to fit in, or there simply is no space!
Today, for the first time in a long while, I sat down in front of my laptop, and played those CDs from the Hi-Fi in my room.
And this (relatively) Hi(gher) - Fidelity CDs does sound somewhat better than MP3s or youtube streamed videos.
It may be some misguided romantic nostalgia, but I hope that CDs will never be made obsolete. Perhaps like how some audiophiles of the previous generation still listens to those hugeass LDs/records.
Can you imagine a world where everything is so nicely packed and efficient that we lose all the necessary extras?
